Odisha Matric Exam: Evaluation from Mar 25; results likely in April last week

Bhubaneswar: The Board of Secondary Education (BSE) decided to begin evaluation of annual matric examination answersheets from March 25 and complete it on April 5.

The evaluation will be made at 60 centres. While total 50 centres have been selected for evaluating matric examination answersheets, State Open School and Madhyama Sanskrit examination answersheets will be evaluated at 10 centres across the State.

The examiners will soon be appointed for evaluation of answersheets. The BSE is planning to announce the results in April last week, an official source said.

Meanwhile, the BSE will take final call at a meeting scheduled on March 12 on OMR sheet missing incident reported from Malkangiri district and cancellation of English examination at three centres, informed BSE Controller of Examination Nihar Ranjan Mohanty.

However, the BSE authorities denied the social science question paper viral allegation report on last day of the matriculation.

Total 1,077 matric examinees, 43 candidates of 43 State Open Schools and 13 Madhyama candidates have been caught for malpractice during the examinations, the BSE informed.

Notably, total 5,87,720 students have appeared in matric examination that commenced from Feb 22 at 2953 exam centres this year. The exam concluded on March 8.
