Odisha Matric Exam Result-2020: Here’s district-wise pass percentage

Bhubaneswar: Bargarh district registered the highest pass percentage in annual Board of Secondary Education (BSE) matric examination-2020, whose results were announced today.

The western Odisha district registered 89.37 percentage, the highest pass percentage followed by Khordha district (87.28%), Puri district (86.82%). Nayagarh district has been placed in 4th position with pass percentage of 86.63% and Kandhamal district secured 5th place in the list with 86.32 pass percentage.

Besides, 8 more districts registered pass percentage above 80% in the examination. The districts included Sundargarh (85.85%), Cuttack (84.45%), Balasore (83.97%), Mayurbhanj (83.78%), Ganjam (82%), Sambalpur (80.47), Deogarh (80.22%) and Kendrapara (80.19%).

Similarly, Jagatsinghpur district has the pass percentage of 79.87% followed by Boudh (78.48%) and Malkangiri (77.70).

Nabarangpur scored pass percentage of 77.23%, Jharsuguda (77.20%), Keonjhar (76.62%), Dhenkanal (75.86%), Gajapati (75.82%), Bhadrak (75.76%), Angul (75.23%), Jajpur (73.63%), Sonepur (73.62%), Balangir (72.56%), Koraput (71.74%), and Kalahandi (70.31%).

Nuapada has become the poorest performing district in Odisha with the pass percentage of 60.18 only. The southern Odisha district Rayagada Rayagada registered 69.60% pass percentage in the matriculation exam-2020.

Meanwhile, girl students continued to outsmart boys this year. A total number of 4,07,868 examinees have cleared the examination, of which 2,15,367 are female students and 192501 are male students.

The highest number of malpractice cases have been reported from Dhenkanal district in the examination.

The examination was held in 2767 centres. Total 5,11,677 students had appeared in the examination this year.
