Odisha Matric Exam to begin from April 29

Bhubaneswar: In view of improvement in COVID-19 situation in the state, Odisha Government today announced that the annual Matric Examination-2022 will be held on offline mode from April 29 to May 6.  

Informing this at a presser, Chief Secretary Suresh Chandra Mohapatra said  it is mandatory for all the students to appear in the Matric Summative Assessment-II. Evaluation of the board exam will be done by three methods (scores from Summative Assessment-I, Summative Assessment-II and Internal Assessment). 

It has been decided that the exam will held on one subject each day. Students will appear in the exam in their own schools while teachers from other schools will be engaged as invigilators, the official added.

Besides the HSC Exam, Madhyama Sanskrit and Odisha State Open School Examination will be held during the same period, Mohapatra informed.

He said discussions were held with all stakeholders, including students and parents before taking the decision to conduct the exam on offline mode.
