Odisha: Matric results to be declared in May 2nd week

Cuttack: The Board of Secondary Education (BSE) will announce results of the matriculation examination by the second week of May, an official said today.

The evaluation had started in 57 centres across the State on March 20 and completed today. The BSE had engaged 13,285 teachers for the task.

“The evaluation of Matric answer sheets was completed today successfully and we are planning to publish the results by the second week of May, if everything goes well,” said BSE President Jahanara Begum.

She said that the board is taking all efforts to make sure the results are error-free.

The BSE President further said that they the evaluation process was initially affected due to the boycott by the block grant teachers.

Notably, as many as 5,90,363 students had appeared the annual examination which was held between February 23 and March 8.
