Odisha min pays surprise visit to BEO office, takes action against absentees

Bhubaneswar: Odisha School & Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash today paid a surprise visit to the office of Balianta Block Education Officer (BEO) and took action against staffers who were absent during working hours.

The minister reportedly found presence of only two employees at the office around 10.40 am. Dash has directed for issuance of show-cause notice to the absent staffers and deduction of one day's salary of the employees.

He later visited the Nuapatna UP School and Pratap Sasan High School in the area, where he checked the attendance of teachers and interacted with the students.
