Odisha Minister Pratap Jena admitted to hospital

Bhubaneswar: Minister Pratap Jena, who fell ill during his tour in Phulbani today, was airlifted to Bhubaneswar and admitted to a private hospital for treatment.

Sources said that the minister is undergoing treatment at Apollo Hospital, Bhubaneswar. He was brought to the capital city from Phulbani through an air ambulance.

The Panchayati Raj & Drinking Water, Law, Housing & Urban Development Minister Pratap Jena, who was on a visit to Kandhamal district since October 28, suddenly fell sick earlier in the day today. He was struck with fever and trouble breathing following which he was rushed to the Circuit House in Phulbani. A team of doctors attended to him till he was airlifted to Bhubaneswar.

Sources said that the BJD leader had undergone COVID test. While his antigen test report came negative, the result of his RT-PCR test is still awaited.
