Minister rebukes officials over quality of food being served at Anganwadis

Bhubaneswar: Women and Child Development Minister Tukuni Sahu today took a strong note of the quality of food served to children at anganwadi centres in Balipatna block of Khurda district.

During surprise visits to anganwadi centres at Sarat Sasan, Athantara, Bengabati, Balabhadrapur and Biswanathpur villages, the minister talked to children about what they have learnt and the food served to them.

She also sat down with the children and ate food at an anganwadi centre. Expressing her dissatisfaction over the quality of food being served at the Anganwadi, the minister rebuked its staff.

The minister was accompanied by Balipatna CDPO Arati Rath and other officials during the visit.
