Odisha ministers to encourage plasma donations in various dists

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today assigned the task of encouraging plasma donations in various districts to the ministers of the state in view of the importance of the plasma therapy in the treatment of critical COVID-19 patients.

The CM’s move came on a day when a 48-year-old woman, who is the first COVID-19 patient of Odisha to receive plasma therapy, recovered from the disease and was discharged from Ashwini COVID hospital.

The ministers have been asked to visit their assigned districts and encourage the COVID-19 recovered persons to donate plasma and make necessary arrangements in this regard. The CM will review the progress of plasma donations at regular intervals.

Ranendra Pratap Swain: Bhadrak and Kendrapara.

Sudam Marandi: Sonepur.

Sushant Singh: Balangir and Sambalpur.

Naba Kishore Das: Kalahandi and Nuapada.

Tukuni Sahu: Deogarh and Sundargarh.

Jagannath Saraka: Gajapati and Koraput.

Dibyashankar Mishra: Dhenkanal.

Ashok Chandra Panda: Angul.
