Odisha ministers to submit poll manifesto implementation report every month

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today directed his ministers to submit reports on the implementation of the BJD’s election manifesto promises before 7th of every month.

The ministers have been asked to mention in detail about the steps they have taken for implementation of the manifesto promises as the priority of the government, the Chief Minister’s Office said this evening.

The ministers are supposed to submit the first report to the Chief Minister’s Office before July 7, it added.

“CM @Naveen_Odisha directed Council of Ministers to submit progress report on 7th day of every month on implementation status of manifesto promises. The CM had earlier emphasised Time as an addition to #3Ts (Teamwork, Transparency and Technology) of governance and urged all to work in coordination for best and timely results,” tweeted the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO).

“The Council to meet on 29 May 2020 to mark the first year in government and review progress on delivery of manifesto promises. Government to focus on poverty alleviation, making women equal partners in progress, uplifting the weaker sections & fulfilling dreams of the youth,” the CMO added.

After presiding over the first ever cabinet in his fifth term on May 29 here, Patnaik had advised his new Council of Ministers to focus on transformation of a new Odisha, an empowered Odisha where poverty will be a thing of the past.

The CM had said, 365 days from now, on May 29, 2010, we present before the people our achievements vis-a-vis promises. I want the council of ministers to put their best efforts for successful implementation of the promises.

Patnaik emphasized on the 3Ts of governance–Teamwork, Transparency and Technology leading to Transformation. He added a new dimension to this –Time. Time is of critical essence, the CM stressed.
