Odisha: Miscreants set afire books of Class X student, issue life threat

Rayagada: Three masked miscreants allegedly set on fire books and notes of a Class X girl student after forcibly entering her house in Singapur Road under Chandili police station limits in Rayagada district on Saturday. Also, they threatened her with a knife. Following the incident, the minor girl is in shock.

As per reports, she is staying in Singapur Road area along with her parents. When she was alone at home, the three masked miscreants barged into her house. Before she could comprehend what was happening, the miscreants torched her books and copies.

They also at knife-point threatened her of dire consequences if she appears in the Class X exam.

Based on a complaint filed by the girl’s parents, police began probe. Forensic and sniffer dogs teams also visited the spot as part of the investigation.
