The central investigating wing, during a three-hour interrogation of Kalia alias Subrat Sahu, prime accused of the high-profile scandal at its office on Sunday, has come to know that apart from having physical relations with the receptionist of a hotel under Capital Police station limits, he has also satiated his carnal appetite with several young women and uploaded videos made of the act on the Internet.

All sex video shooting was apparently held at this hotel in which some girl students of an engineering college in the capital city were also involved, CBI sources said.

CBI sources said three rooms of this hotel were permanently reserved and kept under lock and key. These rooms were exclusively used by some journalists, policemen, political leaders and influential persons in the city.

Two legislators from Puri and Jajpur districts, who are very close to Kalia, used to stay in these rooms till late in the night. Due to his close proximity with these two MLAs, Kalia was able to exert influence on the commissionerate police.

According to locals staying near this hotel, though the police were aware of such activities, they did not dare to raid the hotel and arrest Kalia since he was ‘very close’ to some senior police officials.

The CBI has also come to know that Kalia used to force these young women and girl students to indulge in flesh trade by threatening to expose their nude video clippings he had recorded.

Sources said the CBI, which has seized the nude video clippings from several hard disks, is now trying to ascertain the identity of these women and girl students, the cameraman who was shooting their sex videos and the location where editing of these clippings were being done.

Though the CBI has conducted a series of raids on the basis of the statement of Kalia during interrogation, it has declined to provide the details to the media.

Meanwhile, some people of Satya Vihar, Rasulgarh and Bhagabata Sandhan aras under Mancheswar police station limits, on Sunday came to the CBI office and informed the officials that Kalia has swindled over crores of rupees from them by promising them to provide land.

It has come to the notice of the CBI that in spite of scores of allegations against Kalia by the people of these localities, the Mancheswar police had not registered their complaints.
