Odisha-Mo Parivar helps Kendrapara youth’s family to bring back his body from Sri Lanka

Bhubaneswar: Odisha-Mo Parivar extended a helping hand to the family of a 22-year-old youth in Kendrapara for bringing back his body from Sri Lanka.

The youth had died in the island nation September 15. However, his family members were facing difficulties to bring back his body.

On being informed, the Odisha-Mo Parivar made quick effort to help the bereaved family. Finally, the youth’s body was brought back to Odisha today.

Members of Odisha-Mo Parivar along with the family members of the youth received his body at Biju Patnaik International Airport here.

Kamalakanta Swain of Kendrapara was working in a private company in Sri Lanka for last four years. Swain had informed his family members on August 25 that he was planning to return home within a few days.

However, on September 15, the family members of the youth were informed that he had died in Sri Lanka.

The bereaved family was eager to bring back the youth’s body to his native village. However, they were unable to bring back the body due to various issues.

The youth’s family members contacted Minister Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak and sought his intervention into the issue. Nayak, who is also the Co-Convener of Odisha-Mo Parivar, engaged his team members to help the family in bringing back the body from Sri Lanka.

The youth’s body was brought to Odisha with timely intervention of the Indian Embassy in Sri Lanka.

Nayak along with other officials of Odisha-Mo Parivar including Durga Samantray, Rudra Narayan Samantray, Ranjit Ray, Mihir Ray and Satyajit Dash were present at the airport to receive the body.

The family members of the deceased youth expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Odisha-Mo Parivar for its selfless service to bring back the body from Sri Lanka.
