Odisha: More kiosks soon for issue of DL

Bhubaneswar: In a bid to speed up issuance of Learner’s Licence (LL) and Driving Licence (DL) amid chaotic situation at RTOs across Odisha, the Transport Commissioner has directed concerned officials to make necessary arrangements for expediting the process.

In a letter to all Regional Transport Officers, Transport Commissioner Sanjeeb Panda has directed them to increase the number of slots for LL and DL. The commissioner has also asked the officers to keep the offices functional during government holidays.

“You are hereby directed to make necessary arrangements to enhance more number of slots for both LL and DL test, install extra computers for LL test and also allow the applicant to appear test for LL and DL in the vacant slot where the slot allotted applicant is absent. You are also directed to open office in all government holidays for the above purpose to facilitate the public,” Panda wrote in the letter.

Worth mentioning, commuters are making beeline at RTOs in the state for obtaining/updating their vehicle-related documents after implementation of the amended MV Act.
