Odisha: More than 50 migrants leave quarantine centre over ‘poor facilities’

Ganjam: Alleging lack of basic facilities and irregularities at a quarantine centre in Bhetsingi village under Sunarijhola panchayat of Ganjam district, more than 50 migrant returnees stage protest in front of the Kabisuryanagar block office.

As per reports, inmates of the Bhetsingi quarantine centre were unhappy with the facilities being provided by the Sunarijhola Sarpanch. They have been raising the issue before the Sarpanch, but everything fell on deaf ears.

In order to draw the attention of the local administration, today more than 50 migrants left the quarantine centre and walked up to the Kabisuryanagar block office. They then staged a protest in front of the block office demanding better facilities at the Bhetsingi quarantine centre.
