Odisha: Motorcyclist driving on wrong side dies in road mishap

Baripada: Wrong-side driving proved fatal for a motorcyclist as he lost his life in a road mishap here in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district this morning.

The deceased person was identified as Rohit Barik, a resident of Baripada town.

According to reports, Rohit was riding his motorcycle on wrong side on National Highway at around 8.00 am when a dumper truck coming from opposite direction hit the two wheeler near a graveyard. He died on the spot.

Following the incident, Baripada Town police reached the accident site and recovered the body.

Sources said that the deceased youth was the only child of his parents.

Police seized the truck and detained the driver for investigation into the incident.
