Anubhav Mohanty’s marriage with Varsha on the rocks

Cuttack: It seems all is not well between actor-turned-politician Anubhav Mohanty and his wife and Ollywood actress Varsha Priyadarshini. The leading actress of the regional industry has filed a DV case against Kendrapara MP at a local court here.

As per the data available on district court’s website, a criminal miscellaneous case has been filed on August 7 and the matter has been listed in SDJM-1 court for hearing on September 7.

Reportedly, Varsha moved the lower court last month alleging physical and mental torture and hence, a case under section 12 of Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act was registered.

When asked, the ‘Balunga Toka’ of the industry said that he has not received any notice from the court and he would definitely respond to media queries once he gets it.

Earlier, there were murmurs that the couple was at odds and living separately. Varsha had to put spanners in the wheels of the rumour mills to put the issue to rest through public statements.

Though it appears that their relationship is going through a rough patch, Anubhav and Varsha are still staying at their Nandi Sahi residence under Choudhary Bazar area here.

Reports said that the actress has demanded a monthly maintenance of Rs 70,000 and Rs 15 crore towards compensation and health insurance. However, we could not corroborate the reports with the actress.
