Odisha MP Hemendra Singh hospitalised, on ventilator

Bhubaneswar, Sept 2:

Hemendra Singh, the Lok Sabha MP from Kandhamal in Odisha, was admitted to a hospital here after he complained of severe chest pain and difficulty in breathing, sources in the Biju Janata Dal said.

Other sources said, Singh suffered a stroke on Saturday.

Singh is currently under treatment at the AMRI hospital here.

According to reports Singh was suffering from pneumonia since Saturday.

The condition of the BJD MP, who is now on a ventilator, is stated to be stable although not out of danger, sources said.

Chief minister Naveen Patnaik and Health minister Atanu Sabysachi Nayak visited the AMRI hospital on Monday to enquire about Singh’s health condtition and treatment.
