Bhubaneswar: Rajya Sabha member from Odisha, Prasanna Acharya, has tested positive for COVID-19, his family source informed.
The BJD MP has been admitted to the Vikash Hospital on Friday evening in Bargarh district after he was diagnosed with Coronavirus.
His family said that Acharya had returned to Bhubaneswar from Delhi on Wednesday. On his way back to home district Bargarh from Bhubaneswar, he suffered from mild fever following which he underwent RT-PCR test that detected positive for COVID-19.
However, he is stated to be in good condition at the hospital.
Taking to Twitter today, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik wished the parliamentarian for speedy recovery from Corona and good health.
