Odisha MP urges CM to convert old district HQ hospital to City Hospital

Bhubaneswar: BJP MP from Bargarh Suresh Pujari today urged Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik to convert the old Bargarh district headquarters hospital to the City hospital with adequate doctors and para medical staff round-the-clock.

In a letter to Naveen, the Bargarh MP highlighted the plight of patients and their relatives in travelling from different locations to the new complex of the district headquarters hospital at Tukurla of Bhatli Block. He further stated due to limited bus service patients have to wait for longer hours. Especially, patient requiring urgent treatment in the night will have a terrible time, the letter read.

Welcoming the CM’s announcement for establishment of a stage-3 cancer hospital in Bargarh, the Parliamentarian requested Naveen to consider setting up of an ultra-modern ‘Cancer Hospital-Cum-Research Institute’ at Bargarh to cater to the need entire western Odisha.

Worth mentioning, the CM had inaugurated the new complex of district HQ hospital on January 21.
