Odisha MP urges Rajnath to allow for a drain inside 120 Battalion

Bhubaneswar: BJP MP from Bhubaneswar seat Aparajita Sarangi has met Defence Minister Rajnath Singh to request him to allow construction of a drain inside 120 Infantry Battalion in Bhubaneswar.

In a tweet, the BJP MP today said, “Met Sri Rajnath Singh,Hon’ble Minister,Defence,and requested him to allow construction of a drain inside 120 Battalion premises in Bhubaneswar.This drain is a long pending demand of the Nayapalli area residents.After this drainage work, flooding of the area in rains will stop.”

Aparajita also submitted a memorandum to the Union Minister in this regard.

Worth mentioning, during rainy season many places of Nayapalli especially Behera Sahi get flooded. Locals allege water drained from ISKCON area flood the low lying areas of Nayapalli. The proposed drain in the 120 Infantry Battalion will resolve the flooding issue, they added.
