Odisha MPs Sasmit, Amar get new roles

Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) today gave new charges to two of its MPs in Rajya Sabha.

While spokesperson Sasmit Patra was appointed BJD chief whip in Rajya Sabha, party’s IT Cell Chairman & spokesperson Amar Patnaik was appointed General Secretary in charge of parliamentary party office.

Patra and Patnaik were elected unopposed to the Upper House of the Parliament as BJD candidates on June 28.
