Odisha: Names of COVID-19 patients go viral on social media

Angul: Photo of a document having names of COVID-19 patients of Odisha’s Angul district reportedly surfaced on various social media platforms yesterday and went viral.

According to reports, the paper document contained names and addresses of as many as 13 persons of the district who tested positive for COVID-19.

Acting on a complaint lodged by the sub-collector, Angul police have registered a case and started investigation into the matter. Efforts were on to ascertain the person who leaked the photo on social media.
