Odisha: Naveen sanctions Rs 6.30 lakh aid for hailstorm victims

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has sanctioned financial assistance to the tune of Rs 6.30 lakh for 21 tribal families of Narayanpatna area of Koraput district in Odisha.

The houses of these tribal families of Kanakput and Daleipeta villages under Langalabeda panchayat in Narayanpatna block had been damaged by hailstorm and gusty winds on May 24, sources said.

“The houses of 21 tribal families of Koraput had been completely damaged by the hailstorm and gusty winds. The tribal families will be provided assistance from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF). Each family will get Rs 30,000 as assistance,” said an official.
