Odisha: NCC cadet drowns in swimming pool during training

Cuttack: A Plus III Second Year student of Netaji Subhas Memorial City College at Rajabagicha here reportedly drowned in the swimming pool of Cuttack Club today.

The deceased student has been identified as Swapneswar Das. Swapneswar was a NCC cadet and the incident took place while he was undergoing training in swimming in the presence of a professional trainer, sources said.

Swapneswar was rushed to a hospital in a critical condition but doctors declared him dead-on-arrival. The training camp was being organised by the Naval Wing of NCC, sources added.
