Rourkela: In a tragic incident, a student of National Institute of Technology, Rourkela died today while playing football in the campus.

The deceased was identified as Vasim Usman, a resident of Malappuram in Kerala. He was studying second year of M. Tech at the NIT, Rourkela.

Sources said the M.Tech student died possibly due to cardiac arrest.

A pall of gloom has descended on the NIT campus following the student’s death.
