Malkangiri: Usage of social media video app has proved costly for nurses in the District Headquarter Hospital, here today.
A 'TikTok' video emerged on social media, where a nurse in the Sick Newborn Care Unit (SNCU) was seen kissing and cradling a baby without gloves, to a music track in the background.
Furthermore, other videos also featured three on-duty nurses performing dance sequences and lip-syncing dialogues at the hospital.
Hospital authorities have ordered an enquiry into the matter and three nurses have been served a show cause notice by the CDMO in this regard.
They have been asked to reply to the show cause notice within 24 hours.
Worth mentioning, TikTok is a popular online video sharing mobile app used for making short lip-sync and dance videos.
