Bolagarh Tehsildar Niharika Nayak this evening lodged an FIR against BJD MLA from Begunia Prasanta Jagadev accusing him of assaulting her, informed Odisha Administrative Service (OAS) Association secretary Jyoti Ranjan Mishra

Nayak filed the FIR with Khordha SP Manoranjan Mohanty in presence of office bearers of the OAS Association, he added.

It may be mentioned here that OAS Association had decided to lodge an FIR against the erring MLA after condemning the alleged assault.

Notably, Jagadev had allegedly assaulted Nayak on Monday evening over an issue of eviction of an encroachment at Ekadalua village in Bolagarh tehsil in Khordha district.

However, Jagadev had refuted the allegations made by Nayak.
