Odisha official swept away in river during bridge survey work

Malkangiri: In an unfortunate incident, an official today went missing after falling into a river while carrying out a bridge survey here in the district.

The incident took place in the morning when the survey official engaged in work was swept away in the Pangama River under Mathili block.

The rescue operations are underway by the fire services personnel to fish the official out of the river.
