Odisha okays recruitment of 28 SIs, 168 constables at 28 Police Outposts

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today approved the recruitment of 28 Sub Inspectors (SIs) and 168 constables at 28 permanent Police Outposts in the state.

The 196 fresh posts will be created by redistribution of positions in the police department.

The recruits will be appointed at the 28 Police Outposts across the state.

A Sub Inspector and six constables will be deployed at each outpost. They will be engaged in maintaining law & order and investigating criminal cases.

The posts will be filled as per the ORV Act of the State Government.
