Odisha: One dead, 2 critical as speeding pickup van hits truck  

Paradip: In a tragic incident, a person was killed while two others suffered grievous injuries after a pickup van collided with a truck near Bhutumundai under Paradip Lock police station here this morning.

However, the identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained.

The incident took place after the speeding pickup van hit a truck from the behind near Bhutumundai. While one died on the spot, two critically-injured persons have been shifted to SCB Medical College and  Hospital in Cuttack.

Meanwhile, irate locals have blocked the road disrupting traffic on Cuttack-Paradip road. The locals demanded immediate disbursal of compensation for family members of the deceased.
