Odisha: Panic grips visitors as tiger escapes safari fence in Nandankanan Zoo

Bhubaneswar: Visitors at the Nandankanan Zoological Park here today were panic-stricken for a while as a Royal Bengal Tiger escaped the fence of the tiger safari.

According to reports, tiger ‘Suraj’ broke the fence and fled while the animal was being fed by an employee of the zoo. As the zoo staffers failed to trace the tiger, the visitors were evacuated.

Fortunately, the animal was later found roaming inside the safari, after which normalcy was restored at the zoo.
