New Delhi/ Bhubaneswar, Apr 20:

The flight was scheduled to take off at 5:45 AM from IGI, reach Bhubaneswar and then depart for Port Blair. The passengers had collected their boarding passes and had reached near the flight by 5:20 AM. However, the flight was cancelled moments before it was scheduled to take off citing mechanical failures.

Angry passengers had to wait for hours inside the bus hoping for a delayed departure, but that was not to be. The same was the case in Bhubaneswar airport for passengers planning to go to Port Blair.

While Bhubaneswar bound passengers were provided seats an alternate aircraft, Port Blair passengers had to go back. The case of passengers flying to Port Blair from Bhubaneswar was no different.

To make matters worse, they will now have to wait for three more days and redo their schedule as the next Air India flight takes off on Thursday.
