Bhubaneswar: The School and Mass Education Department today released first cut off marks for admission in all streams for the academic year 2023-24.

As per the release, Ravenshaw Higher Secondary School also known as Ravenshaw College in Cuttack topped the first selection merit list in Arts, Science and Commerce streams with cut off percentage of 80%, 91.67% and 79.20% respectively in General category.

Similarly, the highest cut off percentages in SC and ST categories in the premier higher secondary school of Odisha were 72%, 86.33% and 67% (for SC candidates) and 66.83%, 76.67%, 44.50% (for ST candidates) in Arts, Science and Commerce streams.

The candidates can check first cut-off marks on official website of SAMS Odisha.

Total 4,72,279 candidates had applied online for admission into Plus 2 courses in different higher secondary schools across the state, of which 4,12,368 applicants have been selected.

While 1,21,023 candidates have been selected for enrolment into Science stream, 2,53,178 have been selected for Arts, 25,168 for Commerce, 7,779 for Upashastri and 5,220 for Vocational course this year.

The second selection merit list will be published at 11.30 am on July 19, 2023. The spot selection merit list will be released at 12.30 pm on July 27, 2023.

The classes of Plus 2 for the academic year 2023 will commence from August 1, 2023.
