Odisha Plus II Admission-2020: Merit list of Second Selection out; check list here

Bhubaneswar: The Directorate of Higher Secondary Education, Odisha, today published the second cut off list of percentage for admission into Plus II courses in various streams in different junior colleges across the State.

Total 35,591 candidates have been selected in the second phase for admission into five different courses in higher secondary schools.

While 28,181 students have been selected for enrolment into Art stream, 2,064 in Commerce, 4,606 in Science, 369 in Sanskrit and 371 in Vocational courses in Odisha.

The students, who have applied for admission into Science, Arts and Commerce streams, can check the list on website of Student Academic Management System (SAMS) https://samsodisha.gov.in/Juniorweb.aspx

As per the merit list of second selection for admission into Plus II Science, the cut off mark in Ravenshaw Higher Secondary School, Cuttack,  has topped the list with highest cut off percentage in different categories. The highest cut off percentage in second selection in the college stands at 86.33% (general), 33% (ST) and 76.5% (SC) followed by BJB College, Bhubaneswar with 86% (general), 33% (ST) and 70.67% (SC) and Saraswati Vidya Mandir Higher Secondary School, Berhampur, with 84.33% (general), 0% (ST) and 46.4% (SC).

The BJB College in Bhubaneswar has the highest cut off mark in Arts stream. The second cut off mark for admission into Arts in the college is 70% (general) 33% (ST) and 54.5% (SC) followed by Ravenshaw College with 68.4% (general), 33% (ST) and 52% (SC) and Shailabala Women’s Higher Secondary School, Cuttack, with 67.17% (general), 34.67% (ST) and 50% (SC).

Similarly, Vyasa Nagar Higher Secondary School in Jajpur district has been placed first in the Top 10 junior college in Commerce stream in SAMS e-admission 2020-21. The second cut off percentage in the merit list in the college is 79.67% (general)  followed by 73.33% (general), 56.5% (ST) and 39.67% (SC) in Ravenshaw College and 72.33% (general), 57.67% (ST) and 43.33% (SC) in Rourkela Government Higher Secondary School. However, no candidate in the categories of ST and SC has been selected for admission into Commerce course in Vyasa Nagar College.

Here’s the merit list of Top-10 junior colleges for admission into Arts, Science and Commerce in second selection:

The admission of students selected in second selection will begin from October 6 till October 8, 2020.  The data updation of students who took admission in the Second Selection by Higher Secondary Schools will be available in the e-Space of the SAMS at 6.00 pm on October 8.

After second merit list admission, the spot selection merit list will be published on the website on October 13. The registration of students for spot admission in the respective higher secondary schools will be made between October 13 (11.30 am) and October 15 (2.00 pm).
