Odisha Plus II Commerce results: Nayagarh students in Top 2 positions

Bhubaneswar:  Two students from Nayagarh district are in top two positions in the annual Plus II Commerce Examination, results of which were declared by the Council of Higher Secondary  Education (CHSE) today.

Situ Behera and Manaswita Mohanty, both students of Nayagarh HS School, have secured the top two positions with 567 and 562 aggregate marks, respectively.

It is pertinent to mention here that this year, Nayagarh has performed excellently in the council exam by securing cent percent results in both Commerce and Science streams. On the other hand, Deogarh registered the lowest pass rate of 34.17 % in the Commerce exam.

Besides,  Rahul Prasanna Sahu of Saraswati Vidya Mandir at Nilakanthanagar in Berhampur has found place in third position in the exam followed by Nikunj Agarwal of Ravenshaw HS School in Cuttack and Sunil Panda of Kendrapada HS School.

Total 40 students in the state have secured 90 % and above marks in the exam. Here’s the list.

The Commerce exam had begun on March 3 at 1,143 centres across the state. Total 25,772 students had appeared in the exam, of which 19,315 (74.95 %) cracked it. While 6,610 students (34.2 %) have cleared the exam in First Division, 4259 (22%) passed in Second Division and 8361 (43.3 %) in Third Division.
