Odisha Plus II Commerce results out; pass rate 74.95 %

Bhubaneswar: The Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) today declared results of the annual Plus II Commerce Examination. The pass percentage stands at 74.95 %, an increase of 4.69 % as compared to last year’s 70.26 %.

While total 25,772 students had appeared in the exam, 19,315 have cleared it. Girls have outperformed boys with 77.8 % pass rate compared to 73.37 % of the latter.  While 6,610 students (34.2 %) have cleared the exam in First Division, 4259 (22%) passed in Second Division and 8361 (43.3 %) in Third Division. Total 40 students have secured 90 % and above marks in the exam.

Nayagarh district reported the highest pass percentage of 88.70 % while Deogarh registered  lowest pass rate of 34.17 %.

Besides, 29 schools have secured cent per cent results , two schools registered zero results.

The results were declared at the CHSE office in presence of School and Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash through video conferencing. Students can check their scores at the two official websites — chseodisha.nic.in and odisharesults.nic.in.

The Commerce exam had begun on March 3 at 1,143 centres across the state.

While results of Plus II Science stream has already been declared on August 12, results of Arts stream will be announced by August 31, the Minister said.

“Despite disruption in evaluation of the answer sheets due to cyclone Amphan and COVID-19 outbreak, the CHSE results have been declared by the given deadline,” the Minister had earlier said.
