Odisha Plus II Exam-2020: Question papers to reach exam hubs by March 1

Bhubaneswar: Amidst preparation for conducting Plus II Examinations-2020 scheduled to commence on March 3, the question papers of all the streams will reach the examination hubs by March 1.

The process for dispatching the question papers to 202 examination hubs began in phases from February 24. While the first phase question papers have reached most of the exam hubs, the remaining hubs will receive the question papers by March 1, informed the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), Odisha, yesterday.

The examination supervisors and deputy supervisors have been asked to receive the packets containing questions even on Sunday, which is official holiday.

Sources in the CHSE has formed a five-tier squad to curb malpractice during examinations. While the zonal squad comprising district-level officials will visit the examination centres, the department squad comprised of the officials of School & Mass Education Department will make inspection during examinations. Minister Samir Ranjan Dash will also monitor various examination centres.

The annual CHSE Examinations will begin from March 3 till March 28. The examinations will be conducted at 1143 centres. All the examination centres will be under CCTV surveillance.

The officials were asked to submit a report on installation of CCTV cameras by Feb 25. However, the superintendents of a few examination centres are yet to produce the CCTV report. Direct action will be taken against those centres very soon, a senior official in the CHSE said.

Reports said that 2,18,800 candidates will appear in Arts stream, 98,536 candidates will appear in Science stream and 25,770 students will attend the annual exam in Commerce stream this year. The practical examinations were conducted on January 27. It continued till February 5. The vocational examinations will be held from March 17.
