Odisha Plus II Exam evaluation: Expert panel to be formed in 15 days

Bhubaneswar: Following cancellation of CHSE Plus II Examinations for this year, Odisha Government will form an expert committee to decide evaluation criteria of students.

“As per order by the Chief Minister, an expert committee comprising senior educationists and CHSE officials will be formed within 15 days to place an objective criterion for assessment of marks,” informed State School & Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash today.

Following cancellation of Class 12th Board Examinations by both CBSE and CISCE in the wake of COVID-19 infections across the country, the Supreme Court has directed the both to submit a report on objective criteria for the assessment of students in two weeks.

“Our expert panel will go through the evaluation policy of CBSE and CISCE and decide to criteria for assessment of marks,” he added.

On Friday, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik announced cancellation of Plus II Examinations for the year 2021 stating ‘life of students top priority for the State Government’ amid COVID-19 second wave.

On the lines of CBSE and CISCE, the State Government decided to cancel the annual examinations for students’ safety.
