Odisha Plus II Science results to be out by May end; Arts & Commerce in June

Bhubaneswar: Results of Plus Two Science annual examination will be announced in last week of May while results of Arts, Commerce and Vocational Education streams will be out by June 7, informed School and Mass Education Minister Sameer Ranjan Dash in the state Assembly here today.

The Minister said evaluation of the Plus II answer sheets will begin from first week of April and action will be taken against teachers, who do not cooperate in the evaluation process.

This apart, the Minister informed the House that 2,585 Government high schools in Odisha are running without headmasters. Besides, 2451 schools have no library and 90 have no blackboards. He further said 35,679 schools in the state have no electricity connection while 34,394 do not have access to drinking water and sanitation facilities. Similarly, 37,645 schools in the state have no playgrounds, he added.
