Central scanning of Plus Two Science papers in Odisha

Odisha Sun Times Bureau
Bhubaneswar, Mar 1:

While the Odisha government has entrusted e-evaluation of the annual Plus Two Science papers to a private agency which will begin from the second week of March, the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) has decided to conduct the central scanning of answer sheets of these papers.

As decided earlier, answer sheets of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology and Zoology kept at the examination hubs would be taken to the Nabakrushna Choudhury Centre for Development Studies near the CHSE office for central scanning.

The scanned answer sheets later would be uploaded in the servers at the 40 e-evaluation centres where the chief examiners would hand over the sheets to the examiners after downloading the hard copies from the servers.

About 4000 examiners would be in charge of e-evaluation of around four lakh answer sheets, said CHSE chairman Prof Basudeb Chhatoi.

Ruling out the possibility of faulty e-evaluation, the CHSE authorities are confident that unlike last year, there would be no error in e-evaluation this year.
