The Twin City Commissionerate police arrested seven members of the notorious Tito gang from Odisha’s Cuttack city last night, informed Cuttack DCP Sanjeev Arora at a press conference today.

The seven criminals were arrested from near Biju Patnaik park under CDA Phase-II police station when they were hatching a plan to commit dacoity, Arora said.

The arrested were identified as Saytabrata Nayak (24) of Chandaka area, Jyotiranjan Mohanty (28) of Ghatikia in Bhubaneswar, Pramod Ranjan (32) of Jagatsinghpur, Muhammad Saddam Hussain (22), Yasin Ali (25), Sk Sabbir (24) and Sk Kalim (24), all hailing from Cuttack.

Two pistols, five rounds of bullets and 3 mobile phones were seized from their possession. Multiple cases are pending against the seven arrested persons at several police stations in Cuttack and nearby areas, the police official said.
