Odisha police arrest three more in Khasua murder case

A special team of the Balasore police today arrested three more accused persons in connection with the murder of notorious criminal Susant Das alias Khasua from Odisha’s Puri.

Police said the arrested are Kanhu Nayak of Angargadia village, Susant Das and Lipu Bindhani of Subharampur and they were absconding after the incident.

“We had earlier arrested eight accused persons in connection with the murder of Khasua which had taken place on June 22. Today we have apprehended three more accused persons who were mentioned in the FIR. After nabbing them from Puri we brought them here and after detailed interrogation, we have arrested them. Further investigation in the matter is on,” informed Amaresh Panda, Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Balasore.

Earlier, police had arrested eight persons in connection with the murder.

It may be noted here that during a group clash on June 22 rival gang members had allegedly killed Khasua by attacking him with swords and had later smashed his body with a stone.
