Odisha: Police ASI suspended for attacking IIC

Berhampur: A woman ASI of police was suspended for allegedly attacking the IIC of Pattapur police station in Odisha’s Ganjam district.

According to reports, ASI Pritimanjari Gadnayak and her husband had attacked IIC Ajay Barik last night over a dispute in connection with allotment of duties.

The IIC has further alleged that the husband-wife duo tried to kill him by strangling his neck. A case was registered in the matter, following which Additional SP Thakur Prasad Patra placed the ASI under suspension.
