Odisha Police bags Skoch award for its web portal

Cuttack:  After receiving the FICCI Smart Policing Award for its initiative on community policing last month, the State Police has bagged Gold medal for its dynamic web portal at 52nd SKOCH Summit-2018 held at New Delhi.

Inspector General (IG), SAP, Sanjeeb Panda received the award on behalf of Odisha Police at a function in the national capital yesterday.

State Director General of Police (DGP) RP Sharma took to his Twitter account to inform about it.

“Happy to share that @odisha_police has bagged the Gold Medal for ‘Dynamic Web Portal’ at 52nd SKOCH Summit- 2018 at New Delhi. Sh. Sanjeeb Panda, IPS, IGP, SAP received the award on behalf of Odisha Police,” the DGP wrote.

The web portal, (www.odishapolice.gov.in), was launched in 2014 and had been appreciated by many for providing various citizen centric online police services to the citizens. Now it has more than 15 crore visitors.

The web portal caters to the requirements of its 72, 000 strong personnel in more than 90 establishments across the State.

The portal was designed and developed by Suyog Computech on complementary basis under the technical support of NIC Bhubaneswar.
