A day after returning empty-handed from his Khandagiri based house, Odisha’s twin city Commissionerate Police today formed a special team to nab Papu Pom Pom who is on the run following an FIR against him pertaining to a casting couch allegation involving a minor girl.
According to Bhubaneswar DCP Satyabrata Bhoi, the special team, led by the zone-1 ACP and the IIC of Mahila police station, will track the movement and conduct various raids at various places to nab actor-turned-BJD politician Tatwa Prakash Satapathy aka Papu and his aide Pradipta Swain - who is also on the run.
In a related development, at the end of its 12-hour deadline, the Odisha unit of BJP today staged a demonstration near his Khandagiri house demanding his immediate arrest. Dozens of party workers torched tyres on the road blocking vehicular movement for a while and burnt his effigy.
Besides, civil society organisations took out protests marches at various other places of the state including Jajpur demanding his arrest.
