The Odisha police today moved the Sub Divisional Judicial Magistrate (SDJM)’s Court here to take notorious Dhalasamanta brothers (D-brothers) on a further remand for seven days.

The Twin City Commissionerate Police has applied to the court to allow it to produce the brothers in handcuff before the court, informed Cuttack DCP Sanjeev Arora here at press meet.

The D-brothers will be produced before the SDJM Court tomorrow, he added.

Notably, the police want to take the D-brothers on remand for interrogation in the Omprakash Swain alias Om murder case.

The DCP said six more cases have been registered against the D-brothers and the police intend to get them on remand for further investigation of these cases.

The police have got several leads from the D-brothers on various criminal activities of theirs during questioning, Arora said.

Police sources said voice samples of the D-brothers will be tested to match it with earlier recorded voice clips and the process for conducting these tests at the State Forensic Laboratory have been completed.
