Bhubaneswar: Ahead of the launch of much-awaited ‘Mo Sarkar’ programme in Odisha on October 2, police today arrested 33 middlemen from different hospitals and Regional Transport Officer (RTO) offices. For the third consecutive day on Saturday, police launched its crackdown against middlemen.
As per reports, 23 touts have been arrested from RTO offices while 10 others were held from the premises of different hospitals across the State. In Jajpur RTO office alone, 10 middlemen have been arrested.
Two each in Jagatsinghpur, Koraput and Jharsuguda RTO offices were arrested whereas one in Puri, three in Khurda and four in Kandhamal districts have been held.
Similarly, one tout was held in the premises of Khurda hospital, three from Kalahandi hospital, two in Bhadrak hospital and three from the OPD of Capital Hospital.
On Friday, police arrested 75 middlemen from RTO offices and hospital following raids.
