Bhubaneswar: The Home Department of the Odisha Government asked the State Police to be on alert ahead of the verdict in the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid case of Ayodhya by the Supreme Court.
The law enforcement agency has been directed to be on readiness to tackle any law and order situation.
While cops have been put on alert in all districts of the state, senior police officials are keeping a watch on the situation, sources said.
As many as 18 platoons of police force have been deployed in Cuttack city to avoid any untoward incident.
