Odisha police picks Race 3 dialogue to promote traffic message

Bhubaneswar: After Daisy Shah’s “Our business is our business, none of your business” dialogue of Salman Khan-starrer Bollywood film Race 3 has turned into a meme for netizens, now the Odisha Police has roped in the (in)famous ‘business’ dialogue to publicise its own traffic awareness campaign.

The State police, on its official twitter handle, today tweeted a still from the popular film having pictures of Daisy Shah and Saqib Saleem with the dialogue written below.

The tweet – which had two photos with a still from the movie and text that said “With interceptors deployed in the streets, and highways, we ensure a thorough check on over speedingand enforcement of traffic rules. If you don’t want us to #MindYourBusiness, drive safe, and abide by the road safety rules. #SafetyFirst.”

In one photo, it is written ‘our business is our business, none of your business’ and in another the police department mentioned ‘follow the rules, else your business will be ours’.

Race 3, the third film in the Race franchise, was released on June 15. The film also features Saqib Saleem, Daisy Shah, Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol in lead roles and Freddy Daruwala. it has been directed by Remo D’Souza.

Odisha police has over 8,827 followers on Twitter. In a couple of hours after the tweet was sent out, it had 13 retweets and more than 1,000 likes, apart from 47 likes.

The State police has been organising rallies, seminars and meetings at frequent intervals to drive home the point of road safety. While total 4463 people had died in road mishaps across the State in 2016, the death toll jumped to 4790 in 2017.

Recently, Director General of Police (DGP) RP Sharma had instructed all Superintendents of Police (SPs) in every district to enforce road safety rules and take stringent action against violators.
