Father of a girl student of Ravenshaw Junior College in Odisha’s Cuttack city today lodged a complaint with the police against four girl students of the same college accusing them of ragging his daughter.

The parent in his complaint at the Malgodown police station has alleged that his daughter was ragged by four Ravenshaw Junior College girl students at the Daya Women’s Hostel.

Police have registered the FIR against the four and have charged them under Sections 341, 323, 294, 427, 34 of the IPC, police sources revealed.

However, the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the college has claimed that according to the joint probe committee report it was not a case of ragging but rather a dispute between junior and senior students.
